This was such a fun book and the characters were so likeable. Shannon and Drew start out meeting in a bar and having a one night stand. Not an auspicious start to any relationship. And the next morning, it gets worse. Shannon's boisterous family walks in on them. Before she can blink, she learns he is her boss and her mother makes him a groomsman in her sister's wedding. Funny, romantic and makes you want to fall in love. Hildie McQueen writes from the heart. She makes you want to see where it's all going to lead. Full of humor and the characters are just imperfect enough to make you want to root for the under dog!

This is a happy read. There are uncomfortable situations and good comedic writing. Also two people who deserve their happily ever after.
When I downloaded this I didn't realize it was a novella, which I despise. Sorry, but Novellas that don't accompany another full length novel to complete or elaborate the story are just a waste of time in my opinion. This one was no different. The story line was so rushed I was confused the whole time. There were too many characters to keep track of in such a short story and none of the issues were resolved. A little more time and a few thousand more words to make this an actual novel might make this one worthwhile but as it stands it's just not worth the time.
Shannon has just found out that the company she works for has been bought out by another. She goes out for happy hour with the rest of the workers only to find out they told her the wrong place. She meets Drew. They end up at her place. The next morning she finds out he is her new boss. She keeps trying to tell him that nothing will work due to him being her boss but he doesn't want to let her go. After she meets his family, she leaves. There are some family issues that he needs to work through. Can Drew help Shannon realize he wants to spend his life with her or will his family issues win out?
Great short read.
I really look for a good story line but this series has a little too much talk about the intimate side of relations. I unfortunately ordered the series before reading one book. Book was ok though
Characters are great. Dealing with true life happenings. Can't wait to get on to the next book. Have never been disappointed by Hildie's books. Thanks kind lady.
